If it successfully hits an enemy, it will play the special animation of Gotenks tossing it to an ally on his bench, or himself if both allies are KO'd, and then proceed to finish by slamming it down and exploding it. When used, Gotenks will shoot the attack forward. It also appears in Dragon Ball Legends as Gotenks' Ultimate Attack. Normally, Gotenks will perform the move by himself, but if Piccolo is on his team, he will join in, though this is a cosmetic change and does not affect the damage done. This attack appears in Dragon Ball FighterZ as Gotenks' Ultimate Attack.

This attack is Piccolo and Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks' team attack in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2. This is changed in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where Piccolo assists him, just like in the manga and anime. In Budokai Tenkaichi and Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Gotenks does this technique alone. This attack appears in Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension, Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors (named V-ball Crash), Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu, Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury (named Ultra Volleyball Attack), and the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, the Raging Blast series, and Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (named Charging Ultra Super Volleyball). Gotenks manages to catch Super Buu with the Charging Ultra Buu Buu Volleyball and spikes him down to the ground, with the help of a reluctant Piccolo.Ĭharging Ultra Buu Buu Volleyball in Budokai Tenkaichi Super Buu destroys The Lookout trying to hit Gotenks and Piccolo with the Mystic Ball Attack. Gotenks uses this attack during his battle against Super Buu. Finally, Gotenks flies up into the air and performs a "Spiking Buu Ball Slam" by spiking the volleyball down to the ground, creating a massive crater and inflicting a huge amount of damage. Then, he grabs the ball and hits it over to Piccolo, who hits it up into the air. Gotenks fires multiple Galactic Donuts that trap the opponent in a volleyball-like energy sphere/construct.
